FAQ

Q: Why shouldn’t I just get the least expensive bed I can find? A mattress is just a mattress, isn’t it?
A: Not all beds are made alike. A huge variety of bed-types are now available including classic inner-spring, airbeds, foam core, latex, organic and many others. There are nearly as many different kinds of beds as there are people to sleep in them. The Better Sleep Council recommends you buy the best bed you can possibly afford.

Q: How can I know which bed will be right for me?
A: Only when you rest on a bed for yourself can you know that it fits your weight, size, and physical condition. There are a huge number of factors, and our sleep experts can walk you through the process. We recommend you set aside enough time to find the right bed. If you sleep with a partner, bring them! The way your partner sleeps affects the way you sleep, and you can’t know what will work unless both of you are present during the buying process. The Better Sleep Council recommends you shop carefully, paying special attention to how the bed feels on your shoulders, back, and hips. Your ideal bed should support your spine in a position identical to good standing posture. Our sleep experts can help you select the right bed that fits both your body and your budget.

Q: How can I know if it’s time to buy a new mattress?
A: Your bed may feel basically comfortable, but like an old pair of shoes, it may not be properly supporting you any longer. Look for obvious signs of wear such as sags or lumps. Ask yourself, have you recently had a better night’s sleep on a bed other than your own? Do you wake up feeling aches or pains? If your mattress isn’t properly supporting you any longer, your sleep quality is threatened because your muscles are busy adjusting while your body is trying to rest. This can increase irritability and decrease productivity during the day.

Q: What if something goes wrong with my purchase? Let’s say there’s a defect in the bed we buy?
A: When you make your purchase at Cloud 9 Sleep Shop, you’re not just buying a bed, you’re buying the world-class customer service Cloud 9 has consistently delivered for over 30 years. If you find your bed does develop a defect, we will help process its return to the manufacturer.
